This specialized procedure is beneficial for clients who have undergone:

  • Mastectomies due to breast cancer

  • Breast lifts or reductions

  • Skin removal after significant weight loss

  • Gender-affirming top surgery

  • Other surgical procedures that may have impacted the natural appearance of the areolas

 

While plastic surgeons do their best to reconstruct the nipple, achieving a natural-looking areola can be challenging. Using advanced tattooing techniques with precise shading and color blending, we create the illusion of a realistic, three-dimensional areola, restoring symmetry and natural beauty. This service is more than just cosmetic—it’s an integral part of the healing process, helping clients move forward with confidence and self-assurance.

What to Expect During Your Appointment
 

  1. Consultation & Planning

    • We begin by taking pre-procedure photos and discussing your goals.

    • Using a surgical marker, we carefully map out the placement and size of your areola while you stand in front of a mirror, ensuring your complete comfort and approval.
       

  2. Color Matching & Numbing

    • We select the most natural-looking pigments by testing different shades against your skin tone.

    • A topical numbing cream is applied to minimize discomfort.
       

  3. Tattooing Process

    • The tattooing itself takes approximately 2 hours.

    • Due to nerve damage from prior surgeries, most clients report minimal to no discomfort.
       

  4. Final Touches & Aftercare

    • After the procedure, we document your transformation with photos.

    • We apply either a specialized aftercare ointment or a transparent film wound dressing to protect the area during the initial healing phase.

Pre-Care Instructions
 

To ensure the best results, please follow these guidelines before your appointment:
 

  • Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications (such as Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Advil, or fish oil) for at least 48 hoursprior.

  • Discontinue Retinol/Retin-A and products containing Tretinoin two weeks before your procedure.

  • Refrain from waxing, facials, or other skin treatments one week before your appointment.

  • Do not arrive with sunburned skin.

  • Clients must be off Accutane for at least one year before receiving permanent makeup.

  • Avoid caffeine the morning of your appointment.

  • Clients must be 18 or older and provide valid proof of age.

  • This procedure is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant.

Healing & Aftercare
 

Proper aftercare is essential for the best results. While healing, avoid:
 

  • Swimming, baths, and saunas

  • Excessive sweating or vigorous exercise

  • Direct sun exposure

  • Pets near the treated area

  • Gardening or exposure to dirt and bacteria

  • Wearing tight clothing that may cause friction or irritation
